In the first blog post in this series, I posed the following question:
"What can subject leaders and school leaders do to replace onerous primary assessment practices with better monitoring and evaluation?"
I answered the question too:
"To facilitate this, I would recommend an agreed reporting format which would ensure that similar information was being collected and reported across all subjects."
And then I went on to say:
"I've called this part 1 as I'm beginning to think that exemplification of this is needed. In part 2 I will share an example of just what this all might look like in reality."
So, some exemplification:

Warning: the grid itself is not really the thing that is going to make a difference, but it is designed to guide subject leaders through a thought process. However, grids like these can often end up having the opposite effect and end up being followed mindlessly.
The way to avoid this is by providing ongoing training to subject leaders. Guiding them through this process and carrying out monitoring and evaluation with them is a great way to start this process. The end goal of using something like this is that subject leaders become more autonomous in carrying out this thought process and sequence of actions, and that there is written evidence of the data that has been collected (in place of pupil data).
Remember, I have a whole host of resources and provide all kinds of training for subject leaders, so I can help you with this. Here are a few starting points:
