Service Description

Weekly CPD for teachers is a staple of school life. Meeting together as a staff body and working collaboratively on whole school approaches to school improvement is a key driving force behind making progress. When staff meetings are exciting, engaging, inspiring and informative, they are indispensable to the development of teaching and learning. However, at the end of a long day, part way through the week, staff training isn't always as effective as it is desired to be. A visiting trainer or speaker can be just the tonic, providing insight and information from a new perspective. A different voice bringing alternative ideas can transform a staff meeting into a significant, impactful event. Aidan has years of experience of delivering staff training at his own schools, at other schools and for groups of teachers from different schools. He plans and delivers in an engaging style, employing interactive, hands-on techniques, always ensuring that teachers get time to talk about their own practice as well as the opportunity to plan specific next steps for their teaching. Aidan takes what is known about learning from research and ensures that these approaches are incorporated in the session's design and implementation. Aidan provides schools with CPD on the following aspects of school life, planning bespoke packages with school leaders before the day: Curriculum development - core and non-core subjects Pedagogy - teaching and learning, planning, assessment School culture and values For example, Aidan has recently delivered on: Spelling Grammar Lesson Planning Subject Leadership Greater Depth Provision Please enquire if you would like to develop a bespoke package of CPD for your school. Staff training can be part day, whole day or after school. To book staff training, please use the 'request to book' button above. Alternatively you can email or call me using the details below.
