This simple document is a guide to planning for meaningful and purposeful Design & Technology lessons and learning sequences.
It guides the user to think about the somebody (who is the product for?), the some reason (what is the product for?) and eventually the something (what is the product?).
It also encourages thought about the opportunities for evaluation, critique and testing (throughout the process – iterative design), opportunities for using creativity and imagination and developing resourcefulness, innovation, enterprise and risk taking as well as which everyday tasks may be linked to context.
