**UPDATED** based on KS2 Reading Tests from 2022, 2023 and 2024 - this resource now goes beyond the language of 'what impression do you get?' and features questions about personality and atmosphere of the text as well as questions focusing on summarising the whole text.
 
A series of 6 lessons focusing on extracts from a range of children's books. The sequence of lessons focuses on modeling how to give an impression of a person, place, feeling or object using evidence from the text and therefore gives children the opportunity to learn how to complete 3 mark questions on the KS2 reading test.
